We once again competed in this year’s Year 5/6 Strictly competition last weekend and we had such a fantastic result… WE WON! The children all worked so hard and they really shone on the day, winning the afternoon show and then in the final, beating Overstone (although it was very very close, only 2 points in it)
Miss Bird, Miss Spaven and Mrs Panter were all so proud and have really enjoyed taking part. We look forward to see what the Year 3/4 competition may bring after Christmas.

Well, after all of that hard work and practising, we finally took part in the competition last Saturday. The children performed brilliantly, winning the morning competition!
In the evening, they returned for the final and overall we came third… out of 31 schools taking part! I am so proud of them all and the hard work and dedication they put into it all.
It was our school’s 10 year anniversary for the new building and our Year 3/4 Strictly dancers performed their first ever dances in front of an audience. It was very nerve wracking but they gave a fantastic performance. Well done!
Only 2 weeks to go until the big competition and we still have lots to tweak and practise!
Our hardworking year 3/4 children have been busily practicing their two dances ready for the competition in March. They have to learn the fast paced jive with lots of added twists and spins as well as the Viennese Waltz. These are two very tricky dances which are taking lots of patience and persistence!
We also have two of our teachers (Mr Grosvenor and Miss Spaven) who are taking part in the teachers’ competition in the evening so they are practicing their dances too.
Wish us all luck!! We hope to see lots of supporters at the shows.
Our YEar 5/6s have been busy for the past few weeks practicing for the Junior Strictly competition. They have had to learn the American Smooth Foxtrot and the Salsa (two very tricky dances)
The competition was on Saturday and they performed brilliantly! Unfortunately, they were not in the top three but everyone who went to see them were extremely proud and they should be incredibly pleased with their performance.
Well done team.
And here is their cha cha cha…

Our very talented Year 3 and 4’s took part in the Junior Strictly Northampton last Saturday 13th June.
We were in the afternoon show competing against 11 other school and the children performed absolutely beautifully. They remembered all of the fine details of the Cha Cha Cha and the American Smooth Waltz. They did so brilliantly that they actually won FIRST PLACE! Which meant that they had to do it all again in the evening show later that day.
Of course, they once again put all their efforts into this second show and it was just as superb. The final was between our school and Caroline Chisholm. After a long wait we were crowned the WINNERS!!!
I just want to say how proud I am of all of the children, they really worked so hard and it all paid off in the end. Amazing work and so well deserved!
